The rumored halftime tribute to Sponge Bob SquarePants actually happened, but now some people are disappointed with how it happened.

Maroon 5’s painful Super Bowl halftime show performance was thankfully interrupted by Squidward, who was leading a marching band of Bikini Bottom residents. As the band built to a crescendo, Travis Scott inexplicably flew into the stadium via a meteorite.

Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense.

And after the big online push to play “Sweet Victory” in honor of Sponge Bob SquarePants’ late creator Stephen Hillenburg, fans were upset that the tribute lasted barely more than a few seconds.

But maybe the fact that SpongeBob appeared is enough for a sweet victory.
