Having cast Walker Scobell as the titular protagonist, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has now found their Grover Underwood and Annabeth Chase. Aryan Simhardi has been cast as Grover while Leah Sava Jeffries will play Annabeth.
The show, which will be released on Disney+, will follow the story of young demigod Percy Jackson as he comes to terms with his newly discovered powers. With his friends by his side, he embarks on this new supernatural journey. While on the surface, Annabeth and Grover may look like regular kids, but beware, there’s nothing normal about them. While Grover is a satyr, half boy and half goat, Annabeth is the daughter of the Greek goddess Athena.
Simhardi has previously worked in movies and shows like Spin, Just roll with it, Adventures in Wonderpark, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run, among others. Jeffries also comes from considerable on-screen experience, having worked in movies and shows like Empre, Rel, Faith under Fire, among others.
Together, these actors are all set to bring the iconic trio to life on screen. Excited fans took to social media to share the show’s fan art as soon as they heard the news.
Another fan art shows the book version of Annabeth giving her hat to the show version of Annabeth.
Kashvi Kohli, 14, a resident of Dwarka, a fan of the epic trio who is also an avid reader of Percy Jackson’s books says: “The book is amazing! It’s a playground for our imagination, a chance to lose ourselves, forget the world around us and open our minds to completely foreign realms or see our world in a mysteriously different way! This story revolves around Percy’s adventures which are really interesting. It’s great that we can see them come to life on screen. And I’m sure the cast is going to do an amazing job portraying the characters we love.
