New York is once again a mecca for comic book fans as Comic Con returns Thursday through Sunday for the first time in person since 2019.
Comic Con is back this year after going completely virtual last year.
Before guests can enjoy the world of cosplay, comics, and collectibles, proof of vaccination must be presented. Once inside the room, masks must be worn at all times.
Fans interested in attending the event can look forward to everything from cosplaying SpongeBob SquarePants to villains Venom and Carnage to the all-new area where players can battle it out.
With countless comics and endless collectibles, from funk to trendy, there’s no place like Comic Con for fans.
“This is honestly my real family. I missed everyone, smiling, the jokes,” said TC Smith, an exhibitor at Comic Con.
While there are fewer people than in previous years, whether they are interested in the latest anime, Marvel, or Star Trek exhibits, many guests say they haven’t missed the traffic. – bumper shocks they expected, and coming home itself seemed to mean more than ever.
“It’s nice because after a year of not being able to do anything and be with people, it’s nice to come together as a collective and enjoy something that we love together,” said Comic fan Jaida Skye. Con.
Comic Con runs through Sunday, with a few panels and screenings held virtually for fans at home.
