The original animated series from Apple TV + Still water returns with five all new episodes available today. The Daytime Emmy Award-winning and Peabody-winning series is now available to stream worldwide on streamer Te. Five bonus short films are also available and feature “accessible mindfulness moments for children”. You can watch these free short films here.
Still water was recently honored with a Peabody Award for “Excellence in Storytelling and for Work in Encouraging Empathy.” The animated series strives to highlight such things as mindfulness and strives to engage its young viewers with “its stories of friendship while giving children a new perspective on the world around them.”
The beautifully animated show centers around Karl, Addy, and Michael. The brothers and sisters “face daily challenges that sometimes seem insurmountable”. But they have help with those challenges in the form of their next door neighbor, a clever panda named Stillwater. Stillwater leads by example and helps give the three siblings “a deeper understanding of their feelings as well as the tools to help them cope with their own daily challenges.”
In all five new episodes, viewers will find the young heroes facing big moments such as losing a role in the school play and covering up an issue to avoid responsibility, to smaller challenges of tying shoes. and boost the morale of a friend. A bonus Halloween episode from the first season will also air on October 1, which will involve the realities of a spooky celebration where some may feel left out.
The series is based on the Scholastic book series Zen shorts by Jon J. Muth. It is produced by Gaumont and Scholastic Entertainment. You can read our interview with the creators here.

In addition to the new Still water episodes, Apple TV + also shared the news that the second season of the popular Doug unplugs will be released on Friday, September 17th. The premiere will include seven new episodes and a special holiday bonus. The new season of Doug unplugs will see Doug and Emma become expert explorers. They will embark on new adventures in Mega City and “they will find themselves learning the deep sea, playing in a group and going to school”.
Doug unplugs comes from DreamWorks Animation and is based on the Doug unplugged series of books by Dan Yaccarino. The series “follows a young robot named Doug who feels that life is about more than the facts. As other bots log in for their daily download, the curious Doug unplugges and travels the human world, and along with his best friend Emma, experiences its wonders firsthand. The voice cast includes Brandon James Cienfuegos, Kyrie McAlpin, Eric Bauza, Mae Whitman, Leslie David Baker and Becky Robinson. It is also produced by Jim Nolan, Aliki Theofilopoulos and Dan Yaccarino.
